the case against homeschooling

Exhibit A. This girl is like every homeschooler I ever met at camp or taught piano lessons to or was in my cabin when I was a counselor.

She talks like she's constantly on the verge of screaming "I DIDN'T ASK TO BE BORN!"

I watched her that morning...she completely crepped me out. Kind of sad. Where was the joy of bring a child? Think she was just crazy nervous?

Lori, I know, bless her heart. I want to take her to Six Flags and make her eat only candy all day!

Hey I homeschool...but we go to Six Flags and sometimes we do eat candy all day!! It is all about the balance...some of my more conservative, if there such a thing...gasp, cringe at what we read to our children...BALANCE folks!! Oh and I do think my kids are weird but I am glad they are not like everyone elses!! Love ya...BBM

sorry, but she is a terrible example of what i know of homeschooled kids, including my own, and those who we know.

i know just as many geeky weird kids like this in public or private school :)
